“Wise as a Serpent, Gentle as a Dove” by Dr. Jené Walker

Super Woman of God, which characteristics do you feel are most important for us to have as women of God this season? Abigail’s story just blows my mind every time I read it. To me, verses 25-31 represent two of the most powerful characteristics – discernment and spiritual wisdom?

1 Samuel 25:25-31 25 Please, let not my lord regard this scoundrel Nabal. For as his name is, so is he: Nabal is his name, and folly is with him! But I, your maidservant, did not see the young men of my lord whom you sent. 26 Now therefore, my lord, as the Lord lives and as your soul lives, since the Lord has held you back from coming to bloodshed and from avenging yourself with your own hand, now then, let your enemies and those who seek harm for my lord be as Nabal. 27 And now this present which your maidservant has brought to my lord, let it be given to the young men who follow my lord. 28 Please forgive the trespass of your maidservant. For the Lord will certainly make for my lord an enduring house, because my lord fights the battles of the Lord, and evil is not found in you throughout your days. 29 Yet a man has risen to pursue you and seek your life, but the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living with the Lord your God; and the lives of your enemies He shall sling out, as from the pocket of a sling. 30 And it shall come to pass, when the Lord has done for my lord according to all the good that He has spoken concerning you, and has appointed you ruler over Israel, 31 that this will be no grief to you, nor offense of heart to my lord, either that you have shed blood without cause, or that my lord has avenged himself. But when the Lord has dealt well with my lord, then remember your maidservant.”

Did you see evidence of those two characteristics in the text? The king had a small army heading to her home to kill every man in her household. The king had not prayed, consulted Jehovah, gone into the stronghold to hear from Jehovah, or fasted. The king was livid that Abigail’s husband refused to give food to him and his men. He was reacting to the situation in his flesh. When Abigail encounters him, every word has been anointed by Jehovah himself. Abigail is intelligent but when she speaks to David, the wisdom of Jehovah exudes from her. Look how wisely Abigail addresses the king. She tells this man (remember he is headed for a fight of which God didn’t approve):
1) Abigail prophesies to David. She tells him that the Lord will make David a sure house. She wisely says that David fights the battles of the Lord and evil hadn’t been found in David all his days. In other words, going to get vengeance on her husband was not a battle of the Lord’s. If David got involved in that, he could risk his covering.
2) Abigail reminds David of his covering and protection. King Saul was after David trying to kill him. So Abigail says that Jehovah continues to protect David because David does good. Jehovah will continue to allow David to win his battles if David continues to do well. In other words, headed to her home to kill her household may jeopardize his covering and protection from Saul.
3) Abigail emphasizes the importance of a good conscious. When Jehovah fulfills his promises in David’s life, making him ruler David won’t be vexed in his spirit because he avenged himself instead of allowing Jehovah to vindicate him.
4) Abigail establishes her position. She tells David that when God blesses him to remember her. When it is all said and done, Abigail says, remember me.

Do you see how her wisdom can be applied with your own husband? Do you sit at the feet of Jehovah long enough to hear what He says about your husband, his calling in the kingdom and his future? Can you gently warn your husband without it sounding like a warning at all? Can you gently remind him of his covering and protection as long as he does what is right in the sight of God? Can you explain to him about the peace of having a good conscious? Then, your position is established.

In all your getting single and married wives, get discernment to know when to say something and wisdom to know what and how to say it. When you get discernment and spiritual wisdom you can quietly and humbly run an entire kingdom with your husband being king. You, queen are the key to the kingdom. You are worth far more than rubies.

“Who Is Willing To Stay Off the Bottle?” by Dr. Jené Walker

There is a commandment in Ephesians 5:18 that says, “DO NOT GET DRUNK ON WINE!” Who is willing to give up the bottle? I’m not going to push, pressure, or nag. You already know if this is confirmation because Holy Spirit has been on your behind about leaving alcohol alone period. You can justify your drinking with the Word if you want to but you know if Holy Spirit has told you to stay off the bottle completely. You can say drinking is not a sin but if Jehovah said “Stop!” You heard Him – just like I did.

Ephesians 5:15 “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Jehovah really wants us to reflect on our godly character in this season. He admonishes us to be careful in how we live. When you see the word “then,” in this scripture, it lets you know that this statement is related to a previous thought. If you’re going to be the light and you want Yeshua’s light to shine on you, be careful how you live then. We can’t continue to live in a state of “sleeping.” Every day that we live is an opportunity for us to make wise, spiritual decisions that are determined by the Spirit of Jehovah. There are some evil and corrupt things happening single wives and we can’t be affiliated with it or exposed to it. We need Holy Spirit to help lead us and guide us. And in order to know what His perfect will is for our lives, we have to present our bodies to Him as a living sacrifice, HOLY and ACCEPTABLE. That’s our reasonable service. Then we will know His perfect will. How do we know WHAT Jehovah wants us to do and WHO He wants us with if we’re drunk?

Drunkenness leads to debauchery – “bad or immoral behavior that involves sex, drugs, alcohol, seduction from duty, allegiance, or virtue; indulgence in sensual pleasures; scandalous activities involving sex, alcohol, or drugs without inhibition.” Drunkenness seduces you away from your post (assignment), your spiritual duty. It’s the reason some of us have gotten into bed with some of these dudes and far worse, right? And the world will have us thinking that it’s ok to “blame it on the alcohol.” Always measure what the world says against the standard in the Word of Jehovah.

I used to love my red wine on the weekends and Jehovah shut me down completely- almost four years strong!) down. [That’s another post]. What will happen is you will become dependent on the wine over your dependency on Him. You begin to think that you “need your wine” to “wind down.” You’ve made wine an idol now.  So, He wants to know right now. Are you willing to give up what is pleasurable (idolatrous and deadly) to your flesh to live totally surrendered for Him?

What if the reason we haven’t carried our spiritual baby full term is we keep contaminating our temple?

We’re asking Him for a lot and we don’t want to sacrifice much. Hello somebody? “Well dang, what CAN I do,” you whispered. Holy Spirit says, “Giving up your flesh is your REASONABLE sacrifice. This is what you CAN do: speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Now, who is willing to stay off the bottle? If it’s a fight for you, you already know…

“Deliverance from Denial and Spiritual Blindness” by Dr. Jené Walker

Stages of Deliverance from “Denial” and Blindness

Stage 1. No. I don’t believe it.
>Denying truth
>Difficult to receive the truth
>Current paradigm is strong
>Refuses to let go of the world and world’s system
When presented with truth, the opposite of the lies we’ve been taught in a world that operates under the power of the father of lies, it is impossible for us to receive it at this stage. We are agitated when someone presents us with revelation knowledge about the Word of God such as “Participation in sororities and fraternities is idolatry.” We respond, “That isn’t my understanding of ‘it.'” “The Hebrew Israelites are black. Israel is not true Israel.” Revelation 3:9 “Take note, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—I will make them come and bow down at your feet and make them know [without any doubt] that I have loved you.”  We respond, “I don’t believe that. That’s impossible.”
⬇️
Stage 2. What difference does it make?
>Caught a glimpse of truth
>The truth hurts
>Refuses to change your thought pattern
>The world still has the power to seduce you
When presented with truth, now we glimpse it but we shake off what we see.  “Participation in sororities and fraternities is idolatry.” We respond, “What difference does it make if we make pledges to idols and false gods as long as we’re doing things to help the community and to spread love?” “The Hebrew Israelites are black. Israel is not true Israel.” Revelation 3:9 “Take note, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—I will make them come and bow down at your feet and make them know [without any doubt] that I have loved you.” We respond, “I read that the Hebrew Israelites were cursed and part of the curse was to be brought into slavery on slave ships. But the people who are in Israel now were annihilated in the Holocaust. I’ve sent money there and supported the cause through my church.”
⬇️
Stage 3. I see what you’re saying, but…
>Sees the truth but your flesh still rejects it
>Holding on to bits and pieces of your strong paradigm
>Debates using previous paradigms as justification
>Your grip on the world is somewhat loosening because Holy Spirit is working
When presented with truth, now we see it but we don’t want to stop sinning. “Participation in sororities and fraternities is idolatry.” We respond, “Don’t talk to me about this subject any more. I enjoy the perks of being involved in my fraternity; I am acknowledged and revered in this organization. I am popular. It gives me status. I have invested my life in this. Don’t mention it to me again. I will ask for forgiveness later.” “The Hebrew Israelites are black. Israel is not true Israel.” Ezekiel 37:21-23 “Say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God, ‘Behold, I am going to take the children of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king will be king over all of them; and they will no longer be two nations, and will no longer be divided into two kingdoms. They will no longer defile themselves with their idols, or with their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions; but I will save them from all their transgressions in which they have sinned, and I will cleanse them. So they will be My people, and I will be their God.’ We respond, “I understand that 1948 could not have been the date of the reunification of Israel because of the Word of God says that when He restores Israel as a nation, Jesus will actually reign over them and Israel will have permanent peace. I see that Israel still doesn’t have peace now as Palestine continues to attack and the UN has made sanctions about the temple that excludes Israel. But… the government says and mega pastors still say that Israel is Israel so I’m going with what the world says. What difference does it make who true Israel is and what color Jesus is anyway? Why can’t we just all love each other?”
⬇️
Stage 4.💡 I can see clearly now; the veil is lifted.
>Some Revelation Knowledge, Healing, Deliverance
>Has limited revelation knowledge of the truth
>Still learning and discovering truth in phases designed by Holy Spirit
>Still peeling off layers of lies, deception, religion, and tradition and worldliness
>In an ongoing process
>Allowing Holy Spirit to work
>Knows in part and prophesies in part
When presented with truth, now we see it and we repent of our sins and turn from them. “Participation in sororities and fraternities is idolatry.” We now respond, “I’m sorry. It has been a difficult process to get me to relinquish the world’s standards and embrace the truth. I repent of my sin and denounce my affiliation with organizations rooted in paganism and idolatry.” “The Hebrew Israelites are black. Israel is not true Israel.” I understand that if Jesus and His family were sent to Egypt to hide from the king that they just have been the same color as the Egyptians. Paul, a Hebrew, was mistaken for an Egyptian so he must have been of a darker race. I have studied and researched for myself and see that Israel was originally in Northeast Africa but the synagogue of Satan built a canal and separated Israel from Africa and using psychological warfare, established a “Middle East” to imprint on the minds of God’s people that Israel was not in Africa. There are still parts of this awakening with which I struggle but I know Holy Spirit will complete the work He started in me.”
⬇️
Stage 5. I now possess all truth.
>Jesus has returned
>2nd Coming of Christ
>Transfigured, complete, and made in His image
>Possess all knowledge through His perfecting us
As knowledgeable and smart as we want to think we are, we will not have all knowledge and truth until Jesus’s return. Pride will cause us to believe that we are superior to others because we possess knowledge and information that they do not. God awakens His people with His Spirit. Stay humble. We only know what Holy Spirit reveals to us. We aren’t that smart. Remember when you were in denial and blind then give people the grace to go through the process that you went through. Pray for them. Love them. There will be those whose hearts are hardened and who refuse to see the truth. Pray for them that their hearts soften before it’s too late. Which stage are you in? How do you know for sure? Jené Elaine Walker

“A Friend and a Fast with Benefits” by Dr.J. 2016 Fast Post 15

Have you considered breaking your vow to God so you can satisfy your fleshly desire for food? Food will be here. But this opportunity to offer a sacrifice at the beginning of the 2016 year will never be here again. The enemy attacks your thoughts. He plants seeds of lust for food. He tempts you and entices you. He even knows the benefits of your fast. Fight to keep satan out of your thoughts. Your blessings are tied to your obedience. Stay the course. Stay the course, not only out of obedience but also for the spiritual benefits.

After only ten days of fasting, God gave Daniel and his friends knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature. Daniel could interpret visions and dreams. If you seek wisdom, ask God for it. God gives liberally to all who ask (James 1). But there is something to say about adding a fast to your prayer requests. By the end of Daniel’s training while in captivity, the king found Daniel and his friends to be ten times better than all the magicians in the whole kingdom. God will set you above and apart from all the rest. Stay obedient to God. Stay faithful to God. Keep fasting.

Daniel‬ ‭1:17, 20‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds. In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.”

Journal Writing Reflection Question:
“How has the enemy attacked you in your thoughts?” How have you fought back?
