YouTube Video (Click Here): Song, “Hills and Valleys” by Tauren Wells
My God! Listen believers, we will have hills and valleys until our Savior Yeshua comes back and fights with us and for us to defeat Satan and send him to the pits of hell forever. But, how do we respond to the valleys? Are we pouting? Are we angry with God? Are we rebelling? Are we refusing to serve Him because we think our valleys are lower than the entire body of believers who is suffering all over the world just like we are?
I challenge you (and me) to respond to the valleys in the same way we respond to the hills. We give God glory when He increases, promotes, blesses us with favor, and rewards us. Our valleys are real; I can’t deny it. Our valleys are job loss, home loss, money loss, friend loss, diseases gained, cheating spouses gained, hurt gained, and loneliness gained. I couldn’t and wouldn’t dare downplay the valleys. But the valleys are inevitable. The devil wants to take us out but the valleys or attacks don’t have to affect us the way we’ve allowed them to. They don’t have to take us out. They don’t have to kill us. We have power over the valleys. We can speak to them. We can make them move. We can overcome them. God is sovereign. Do you think that He doesn’t see you? He does see you and He is with you in every one of your valley moments. Remember, sin and evil came by Satan’s temptation of Adam and Eve. Sin didn’t come from God. God’s Word has to stand. We have to stop blaming God and start trusting Him in the valleys too. He has us. Please believe it. He loves us and cares for us in the ups and the downs. Jené Elaine Walker
It is a constant fight. Cast down every thought that comes from hell. Do not let your mind linger on thoughts from the devil. For a long time, I obviously believed that I didn’t have control over my mind. I would say, “I can’t help it. I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m going to lose my mind.” Have you ever thought that or said that? That’s a lie from hell. God says to “cast down imaginations” and that means that we have the power to throw out thoughts, arguments, philosophies and all lies that contradict the truth. God’s Word is the truth. That’s what I have to think about. It’s a moment by moment process. Don’t just accept crazy, perverse, corrupt, or disobedient thoughts. Question how the thought was able to get in there? What are you watching and hearing and doing? It impacts your thoughts. Guard your heart and your mind; they work together for the good or the devil. Dr.J.
God helps us to keep things in perspective doesn’t He? Jesus says since we can’t do the “very little thing” of adding an hour to our lives, what are we worrying about the rest for?
Wow! To Jesus, adding an hour to a life is a simple thing! Now if that doesn’t help us to understand how powerless we are and powerful He is, I don’t know what will. Stop worrying right now. What good is it doing? Can we alone change our situations? Pray. Pray without ceasing. Pray continually. God is sovereign. He knows everything about us. He isn’t some distant, uncaring mystical being. He is God “with us.” He knows our problems. He knows what we need. He wants us to trust Him. Put your trust where your worry is. Do it now in Jesus’s name. You’ve been up all weekend worrying about “the rest” – bills, lack of money, your child, your next steps, your career, some trouble you got into, the disease, your boss, your past, your past, your past… Stop it now. The One who numbers the hairs on your head has your life in His hands. He can extend time for you or wipe time out for this entire world. Trust God. Dr.J.
1 Samuel 1:13-18 NIV “Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk and said to her, ‘How long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.” ‘Not so, my lord,’ Hannah replied, ‘I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord. Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.’ Eli answered, ‘Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him.’ She said, ‘May your servant find favor in your eyes.’ Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast.”After Hannah cried it all out and prayed it all out – all her anguish and her grief – she left it all on the altar, went to eat, and fixed her face. After we tell God our problems, after we cry out to God do we really and truly give our burdens to God and leave them there? That takes faith. I mean I have cried and prayed and been upset but instead of giving it to God, I picked my cares back up off the altar and carried them with me. Have you done that too? God says we’ve fasted, prayed, wept, and worried. Now it’s time to leave our cares with Him, eat, and fix our faces. God heard our prayers and cries. Whatever God promised to birth in us, He will birth it. Dr.J.
Are there some things that you “said” you gave to God? Are there situations that you “said” you were going to trust God to handle? Every now and then though you feel this weight and heaviness in your chest. Once in a while you feel a spirit of heaviness or sadness. You also feel anxiety in an overwhelming sense. Well maybe you really did give it to God but at some point- in your mind, heart, or spirit – you picked it back up…again. And I get it…
Some of the things we have to deal with are so grave, disheartening, serious, and severe that when we don’t “see” God moving in the natural realm, we pick it back up…again. When we “look” at the magnitude of our situations in the natural, we know we can’t do anything about it. So we need to cast down the imaginations and high thoughts. We need to cast out the sickness of fear in our hearts. And we need to renounce the spirit of heaviness. We have to fight with prayer and hearing the Word aloud. We have to open up our mouths and make professions of the Word of God. But first, we have to give it back to God…again. Cheating spouses, no spouse, wayward child, addictions, childhood abuse, diseases passed down or transmitted, debt, money issues, incest, and job issues – God can handle it. Please believe. Dr.J.

You can’t “want it all back” and not believe that God will actually restore you and give it all back. Have you been struggling with doubt and unbelief? Have you even begun to question God in your spirit or even aloud? Did you doubt that God knows what He’s doing concerning you? Have you considered cursing God and dying? Have you been unsettled in your spirit because you aren’t sure if God is going to do what He said? Repent and ask for forgiveness and watch God restore you and give it all back. Read the prayer of repentance below aloud.
Job 42:1-6 NKJV “Then Job answered the LORD and said: ‘I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You. You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. Listen, please, and let me speak; You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’ I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.'”
Before you can truly believe God will give it all back to you, restore you, and make you whole, open your eyes and see God for who He is. He is sovereign. He doesn’t make mistakes. He cares for you and cares about everything concerning you. He is God alone.
Believe God for your restoration on this side. I declare and decree through the power of the Holy Spirit, that your losses will be restored in Jesus’s name, and you will have greater than what you had before. Everything God allowed you to lose is for a purpose. Just trust God and believe Him for total restoration. Restoration doesn’t mean you will never face trials and tribulations again but you will have the strength to endure every trial and tribulation. Now, tell God, “I want it all back!” Dr.J.
Job 42:10-13 NKJV “And the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. Then all his brothers, all his sisters, and all those who had been his acquaintances before, came to him and ate food with him in his house; and they consoled him and comforted him for all the adversity that the LORD had brought upon him. Each one gave him a piece of silver and each a ring of gold. Now the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys. He also had seven sons and three daughters.”
You’ve been trusting God this long. Don’t start doubting Him now.
You’ve been thinking, “How will God make this happen if I don’t do ‘something’?” If you need to do anything, the Holy Spirit will prompt you and lead you. This is truth. He speaks to us. He will tell us what to do and when. The works that bring life to our faith can be as simple as “obey” and God will line up everything else without your help. Let God be God.
Your child is acting contrarily to what God has shown you about his life. Her grades, behavior, attitude, habits, and even organization contradict everything you’ve taught her in the natural. That’s why you must rely on, cling to, and grab ahold to the promises God showed you. Stop measuring your child by the world’s standards. Our faith gets shaken when we look at what’s going on in the natural with our child. If he is going through it, God ordained it. All these unpleasant natural occurrences will work for your child’s supernatural purpose.
Our trust and faith cannot fluctuate as our circumstances, situations, and feelings dictate. We have to believe even when the attacks come. We have to trust God when things look crazy. Husbands and wives are not on one accord. Trust God. Bank account is low. Trust God. Big vision head but no provision in sight. Trust God.
As a believer, you’re always walking a tightrope. You have to know when to advance, retreat, or be still. You have to be able to balance living in the world yet operating in the Spirit. You have to step out on faith. Don’t let the tightrope walk cause you to take your eyes off God. You’ve been trusting God this long. Don’t start doubting Him now. Dr.J.
