Acts 1:6-8 “When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Stay focused on the work. The enemy will use our curiosity and analytical minds to have us trying to figure out the exact day and the exact hour of our restoration and the restoration of God’s chosen people, the Hebrew Israelites. When Jehovah? When will the vision manifest? When will my spouse come? When will You return? We don’t know the day or the hour. We don’t worry about the exact dates. We know what the power of the Holy Spirit reveals to us. Meanwhile, we have work to do. In every area of our lives we are charged to be witnesses. Jehovah has already empowered us with the anointing we need. He has already given us dunamis power to teach, preach, cast out demons, and heal the sick. He has already equipped us to accomplish His plan in our lives. We don’t have time to sit by and look out the window for signs of the times. Keep working. Keep building. Keep planning, “God willing.” Keep ministering. Keep witnessing. Don’t worry about the day. Don’t worry about the hour. Don’t let the enemy cause you to get stuck in a spiritual time capsule. Work while you can.
If you’re in a season that God placed you in, learn to be content. There is nothing like the peace of God when you trust God right where you are right now. You know God is sovereign. If He wanted you somewhere else, that’s where you would be.
Lord, I just want to go with the flow of Your Spirit. Even though You’ve placed a desire in me for something “more” for the kingdom, I know when I’m ready and You’re ready, You will birth it.
The enemy uses our own emotions and other people to cause us to doubt, to become anxious, and even to be impatient and angry with God. We renounce those spirits right now in Jesus’s name. We are content in the season in which You’ve placed us, Lord. When You’re ready to move us, we’re ready for the next level. Dr.J.
Marriages go through seasons. You vowed to stay committed through each one. Just clothe yourself appropriately for the temperature changes with the Word of God. “It will be a shelter from daytime heat and a hiding place from storms and rain” (Isaiah 4:6 NLT). “She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm[a] clothes. (Proverbs 31:21 NIV). “A farmer too lazy to plant in the spring has nothing to harvest in the fall” (Proverbs 20:4 MSG).
Sometimes you may have to hide yourself in the Word. Save and sow into the spring of your marriage when things are going well so that when rough times come, you have a solid spiritual foundation. Plant love, plant prayer, plant commitment, plant companionship, plant communication so that your marital harvest is plentiful in God’s timing for you two to reap. Don’t fret over the season you’re in right now. God knows every season and is with you through each one! You just stay committed and clothed for the occasion. Jené Elaine Walker
