John 8:44 (NIV) “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
Remember that we are dealing with a demonic spiritual realm of influence. We can continue to downplay the seriousness and power of the devil or we can begin to use the power of Holy Spirit within us as believers of Yeshua, the Messiah. Pray like never before. Engage the enemy like never before. Kingdom generals in Cleveland, we are praying and warring with you. My condolences to the Godwin family. 🙏🏾 Jené Elaine Walker
Some of us have tried to
Drink it away
Dance it away
Work it away
Twerk it away
Sleep it away
Smoke it away and
Sex it away.
All temporary fixes
that leave us empty…
But to demolish strongholds
and to come out of
a spirit of Rejection,
We have to
Pray it away
Fast it away
Study it away and
Speak it away
using the Word of God like Jesus.
This is not a game.
This is war. Dr.J.
Around the world, we see the mighty hand of God and the evil works of the devil. There is a battle taking place in the spiritual realm. It is a war of good against evil; heaven versus hell; and light versus darkness. Believers we must pray. We don’t have a choice in the matter. We know that the prayers of the righteous availeth much. When Jesus woke up before day to pray and stayed up late to pray, miracles happened. We can spare at least an hour a day praying on one accord right?
Our prayers are going to have to go deeper than our personal needs. We need to pray for the salt of the earth and the light of the world 🌎! We need to pray for the two billion plus unsaved people in the world. We need to pray for believers not to be deceived by false prophets. We need to pray for true repentance of sin.
Wake up. Build up because through you and your prayers, miracles are about to take place and virtue will pour out of you. Let’s get it in believers. Times are crucial. The world needs our prayers, salt, and light. Dr.J.
Luke 6:12, 17-19 KJV “And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.”
God has given us instructions through Paul’s letters to the church of Thessalonica:
- Rejoice Always
- Pray Continually and
- Give Thanks in All Circumstances
Wow! I had to repent when I studied this again today. If we would only implement these three instructions throughout the day, daily. We forfeit so much peace because we don’t do these three things.
Can you imagine rejoicing “always?” Always? I’ve had some situations to occur during which rejoicing was the farthest weapon from my mind. But oh what if we do think of rejoicing at the onset of the attack? It demonstrates our complete faith and trust in God. It is a rendering of praises to God because we know what God can do. Rejoice always.
How do we pray continually? I don’t know about you but I’m always in a state of prayer or communication with God. Even in my flesh moments I will just say “Lord help me. Lord help me. Help me Jesus. I need You Holy Spirit.” On my most spiritual days I’m walking in Walmart praying. I pray while waiting on the movie to start. I walk in the post office just thanking Him. It doesn’t have to be an elaborate prayer but just constant communication with God. We consult God before any and every decision. And although we will still miss the mark in our flawed human state, we have a relationship with a God who will rescue us in our time of trouble. Pray continually.
Now Lord, we need you right here. Give thanks in ALL circumstances. Lord did you say ALL to brother Paul? Ok yes Holy Spirit- ALL. So if our money is running really low, give thanks? If our spouse is walking out on us, give thanks? If our name is being scandalized, give thanks? If our friends have deserted us, give thanks? If we are jobless, homeless, and hungry, give thanks? If we are suffering with a disease, give thanks? Yes? Then believers, in ALL things we must give thanks. Why? We know that even if God didn’t cause what happened to us, God CAN cause it to work together for our good. We give thanks because we are privileged to suffer as our Lord and Savior suffered for us. We give thanks just because God is all powerful. We do all three of these things because it is God’s will for our lives in Christ Jesus. Dr.J.
1 Samuel 1:13-18 NIV “Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk and said to her, ‘How long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.” ‘Not so, my lord,’ Hannah replied, ‘I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord. Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.’ Eli answered, ‘Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him.’ She said, ‘May your servant find favor in your eyes.’ Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast.”After Hannah cried it all out and prayed it all out – all her anguish and her grief – she left it all on the altar, went to eat, and fixed her face. After we tell God our problems, after we cry out to God do we really and truly give our burdens to God and leave them there? That takes faith. I mean I have cried and prayed and been upset but instead of giving it to God, I picked my cares back up off the altar and carried them with me. Have you done that too? God says we’ve fasted, prayed, wept, and worried. Now it’s time to leave our cares with Him, eat, and fix our faces. God heard our prayers and cries. Whatever God promised to birth in us, He will birth it. Dr.J.
Strategic Spiritual Warfare Plan
Your main focus in life daily has to be on Jesus and getting to heaven. God knows when He is not our main priority. He knows when we have made earthly institutions our primary focus and men our primary focus (including a spouse) and earthly possessions our primary focus. To do so is idolatry… God wants you to turn your heart completely all the way to Him. Pray for your spouse and children. Respect your spouse and children. Love your spouse and children. But do not make their issues your focus. God is your focus and you have a focused prayer life which includes prayer for your spouse and your children. But your primary focus right now is getting closer to Him.
1) pray and meditate – listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit to guide you moment by moment
2) praise and worship God
3) a concentrated Bible study plan daily to address your specific needs for warfare
4) engage the enemy in spiritual warfare in which you speak confessions of God’s Word over yourself, your spouse, your children and your home daily
5) fast-go a few days with no sweets and meat for example (as led by the Holy Spirit)
6) tithe and make sure you bless others as led by the spirit
When you seriously add this plan as a daily regimen and integral part of your spiritual life, it leaves no room for stress or worry. Every time you grow weary for a moment, implement one or more of these steps above. You’re going to have to pray without ceasing but you cannot focus on your problems…
If we can’t even follow a daily regimen consistently, how can we expect someone else to be consistent in everything they do for us? Dr.J.
God will cause those who have wronged you to come to you with a sacrificial offering. Not only that but if they don’t obey God when He sends them to apologize to you or bless you or make their wrongs right, His wrath will be upon them.
Job 42:7-8 NKJV “And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has. Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.”
The part about these verses in the Job 42:7-8 that really blesses me is that God knew how Job would respond to his friends who betrayed him. God told Job’s friends to go and take a sacrifice to Job for the wrong things they said to him. Then God said that Job would pray for them. That is powerful. Some of us say “I’m done” when people do us wrong. We say “I’ll forgive but I will never forget.” When people who have wronged you come to you in repentance, will you pray or turn them away? God already knows your heart so if “turn them away” is your response, ask God to transform your heart. Ask God to help you take forgiveness to the next level and pray for those who spitefully use you. Pray for those who talk badly about you in your face or behind your back. Pray, but don’t turn them away because your blessings will be released when you pray for those who hurt you. God wants to restore you but you must forgive. Dr.J.
Job 42:10 NKJV “And the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.”
