“Wise as a Serpent, Gentle as a Dove” by Dr. Jené Walker

Super Woman of God, which characteristics do you feel are most important for us to have as women of God this season? Abigail’s story just blows my mind every time I read it. To me, verses 25-31 represent two of the most powerful characteristics – discernment and spiritual wisdom?

1 Samuel 25:25-31 25 Please, let not my lord regard this scoundrel Nabal. For as his name is, so is he: Nabal is his name, and folly is with him! But I, your maidservant, did not see the young men of my lord whom you sent. 26 Now therefore, my lord, as the Lord lives and as your soul lives, since the Lord has held you back from coming to bloodshed and from avenging yourself with your own hand, now then, let your enemies and those who seek harm for my lord be as Nabal. 27 And now this present which your maidservant has brought to my lord, let it be given to the young men who follow my lord. 28 Please forgive the trespass of your maidservant. For the Lord will certainly make for my lord an enduring house, because my lord fights the battles of the Lord, and evil is not found in you throughout your days. 29 Yet a man has risen to pursue you and seek your life, but the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living with the Lord your God; and the lives of your enemies He shall sling out, as from the pocket of a sling. 30 And it shall come to pass, when the Lord has done for my lord according to all the good that He has spoken concerning you, and has appointed you ruler over Israel, 31 that this will be no grief to you, nor offense of heart to my lord, either that you have shed blood without cause, or that my lord has avenged himself. But when the Lord has dealt well with my lord, then remember your maidservant.”

Did you see evidence of those two characteristics in the text? The king had a small army heading to her home to kill every man in her household. The king had not prayed, consulted Jehovah, gone into the stronghold to hear from Jehovah, or fasted. The king was livid that Abigail’s husband refused to give food to him and his men. He was reacting to the situation in his flesh. When Abigail encounters him, every word has been anointed by Jehovah himself. Abigail is intelligent but when she speaks to David, the wisdom of Jehovah exudes from her. Look how wisely Abigail addresses the king. She tells this man (remember he is headed for a fight of which God didn’t approve):
1) Abigail prophesies to David. She tells him that the Lord will make David a sure house. She wisely says that David fights the battles of the Lord and evil hadn’t been found in David all his days. In other words, going to get vengeance on her husband was not a battle of the Lord’s. If David got involved in that, he could risk his covering.
2) Abigail reminds David of his covering and protection. King Saul was after David trying to kill him. So Abigail says that Jehovah continues to protect David because David does good. Jehovah will continue to allow David to win his battles if David continues to do well. In other words, headed to her home to kill her household may jeopardize his covering and protection from Saul.
3) Abigail emphasizes the importance of a good conscious. When Jehovah fulfills his promises in David’s life, making him ruler David won’t be vexed in his spirit because he avenged himself instead of allowing Jehovah to vindicate him.
4) Abigail establishes her position. She tells David that when God blesses him to remember her. When it is all said and done, Abigail says, remember me.

Do you see how her wisdom can be applied with your own husband? Do you sit at the feet of Jehovah long enough to hear what He says about your husband, his calling in the kingdom and his future? Can you gently warn your husband without it sounding like a warning at all? Can you gently remind him of his covering and protection as long as he does what is right in the sight of God? Can you explain to him about the peace of having a good conscious? Then, your position is established.

In all your getting single and married wives, get discernment to know when to say something and wisdom to know what and how to say it. When you get discernment and spiritual wisdom you can quietly and humbly run an entire kingdom with your husband being king. You, queen are the key to the kingdom. You are worth far more than rubies.

“How Quickly Can You Discern?” by Dr. Jené Walker

What sets you apart from every other woman in the earth realm? What makes you so worthy? What makes you so special? Why are you necessary in the kingdom and in your home? I will tell you. You have the ability to discern which situations require you to intercede “quickly.”

1 Samuel 25:117-18 “Now therefore, know and consider what you will do, for harm is determined against our master and against all his household. For he is such a scoundrel that one cannot speak to him.’ Then Abigail made haste and took two hundred loaves of bread, two skins of wine, five sheep already dressed, five seahs of roasted grain, one hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and loaded them on donkeys.”

You know how to distinguish between the need for the model prayer versus the need for you to lay before Jehovah, cry out, confess His Word back to Him, and wait for Him to speak. You, like Abigail know when to make haste and load that donkey up with goods! Woman of God, there is nothing like having a spirit of discernment and the gift of spiritual wisdom.

Abigail was married to a man whose name meant “fool.” He did something so foolish that it was going to impact her and her household and could ultimately result in their deaths. She didn’t consult with her husband. She didn’t declare a fast. She didn’t go in the prayer closet. The Word says that Abigail made haste and went to make an offering in order to keep the peace for her household. Her actions not only saved her household (except “fool” – Please read the entire chapter again! It is empowering!) but also it saved the king from making an irrational decision.

Beautiful woman of God, are you prepared to make decisions in the spirit that will save your earthly king? Are you praying and fasting and studying and listening and hearing from Jehovah NOW so that when the time arises you can pray quickly as you load up that donkey with goods. You will be able to act quickly because you will be assured that you’re hearing from Holy Spirit in your decisions. See you will have already learned to recognize the difference between His voice and your flesh. Have you ever had to keep your family, your king from devastation? In what spirit did you intercede? Was it in lowliness and humility and meekness and with a quiet spirit? Or did you “drag him” because he was about to mess up not only your household but also in the kingdom? Listen to me you powerhouse you, you have so many gifts on the inside of you. You can change the trajectory of your entire marriage or your entire single season. You, my love, are worth far more than rubies.

“An Ephesians 5 Husband” by Dr. Jené Walker

Ephesians 5:25-32 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.”

Who wants an Ephesians 5 man?God, through Apostle Paul, has given us the characteristics of a husband here in Ephesians Chapter 5. It is up to us to adhere to His instructions and wait until Jehovah manifests this man for us.

Ephesians 5 Husbands do the following:

1. Husbands love us as Yeshua loves the church. He gives up himself for us, makes a sacrifice for us, dies to himself and his desires for us. That is love.

2. Husbands make us holy, cleansing us by washing us with the water through the word. Know the Word for yourself. We are not your teachers. You already know the Word and have a relationship through your own study and prayer time. Then, as the head of us, you are able to cleanse us by washing with water through the word. When we are in error, you are the example and you clean us up. When we need guidance you use the word to steer us in the right direction. To wash us with water through the word he has to know the Word.

3. Husbands must present us to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any blemish but holy and blameless. As a result of his washing us, he must regularly assess his washing to see if we are without stain and holy. Jehovah will not only hold us accountable for ourselves but our husbands are our covering and they help to hold us accountable. They have to be holy and blameless to be the models for us.

4. Husbands must love us as they love their own bodies. This is sacrificial love too. They will take time to wash their cars and shine em up really good. Whatever they would think to do for themselves (feed, care for, provide for, treat, etc.), they do it for us. He thinks of us when he thinks of himself. That’s why it is imperative that we wait for Jehovah to send us a “whole” and healed man. We are members of our husband’s body. He who loves himself loves his wife and he who hates and mistreats his wife has already done it to himself.

5. Husbands leave their father and mother and cling to and be united as one with us. No family member should be able to interfere, meddle, or come between us and our husbands.

Wives, we must submit to our husbands in EVERYTHING and respect them.

Wives, we must submit to our husbands in EVERYTHING and respect them. Those are the commands Yeshua gives to us.

“A Retrospective Look at Our Spiritual Lives” by Dr. Jené Walker

Let Him take you! Because some of us have been in denial about demonic activity in our lives. Some of us thought we were delivered from some things and healed from some things. If you look at the spiritual evidence with open and honest spiritual eyes, however, you know there are some things that still need to be healed and rebuked in your life. We can’t afford to still be oppressed in this season. The judgment in the earth right now is so severe that every believer needs to be “free” this season. Oppression keeps us from seeing the truth. Oppression blinds us from seeing what is happening in the earth realm that is directly influenced by the spiritual realm. It keeps us from seeing how one event is connected to another which is connected to the prophetic Word in scriptures. It keeps you from being able to cast out demons and cover your family with the blood of Yeshua. Go with Jehovah on this reflective spiritual journey. Let Him take you there so you can see with what you’re still struggling. No believer has to struggle with any demonic spirit – addiction, poverty, bitterness, accusation, rejection, nervousness, confusion, schizophrenia. If we are weak, call the prayer warriors and deliverance team ministry. We ain’t playing this season because Jehovah ain’t playing. If you can’t see that something major is going on – from the eclipse to the natural elements to the travesty in government to the hatred and bigotry being unleashed – then you have to know that something has you bound. Rebuke those demons, get your deliverance and get your healing. Every believer of Yeshua needs to be alert and awake in this season.

“Yea But Do You Love Like Yeshua Loves?” by Dr. Jené Walker

Luke 18:9-14, “And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.”

Sometimes, Holy Spirit will have us to do something “unorthodox” because He is about to do something unprecedented on the earth. Make sure you’re not a hindrance to what He wants to do because of your religiosity. And if He can’t use you to do it because you have a form of godliness but no power, He will use someone else. Some things are happening in the earth right now that the devil is using to further divide the body. Some things are happening in the earth right now to expose the “heart” of the “Christian.” We look at white supremacists and we can easily expose their hearts but what about our own hearts? How can we be the Salt and Light in the world but not conform? How can we evangelize without compromise? These are great questions. But Yeshua also wants to know how we can love like He does. A religious spirit causes your heart to harden and you can’t see a move of God if it hits you in the face. It causes you to miss Yeshua when He is clearly working right in the midst of you. It causes you to look at people and see their sin instead of an opportunity to win. Are we winning souls through Yeshua or shunning souls in alliance w/ the kingdom of darkness? People are observing the body closely in this hour. We can’t misrepresent Yeshua as we busy ourselves pointing the finger at people who are misrepresenting Yeshua. Let’s take a moment to seek God & reflect so we can take His stance rather than our own.

“Independence Day Prayer” by Dr. Jené Walker

Prayer and Consecration:Jehovah, we come to You this morning with a repentant heart. Holy Spirit is no longer grieved or quenched in our lives. We have decided today to declare our independence from the snares and traps of the enemy. We are not ignorant of his devices so we can no longer be deceived. It was for freedom that You set us free Yeshua so we will not go back to the slavery and bondage and yoke of sin. We know that the kingdom of heaven is at hand and we want to be ready when You come back.
Father, we pray for our nation on today. We pray that the nation would declare independence from injustice. We pray that the nation will repent of all the injustice it has imposed on your people. We pray that the nation will no longer conceal the knowledge of the hypocrisy upon which it was founded. We pray that the nation will soften and hearken and be inclined to hear Your voice and the voice of your people and your people’s blood crying out from the earth. We pray that the nation will see the oppression that has not ended but has been restructured in the guise of reformation. Repent for the deception that American could have ever been great when it participated in the enslavement and genocide of your people which contradicts the Spirit of Jehovah. We pray that leaders in government who are kingdom leaders will use their spiritual power and influence to infiltrate the government mountain with goodness, righteousness, justice, truth, and the gospel of Yeshua. We pray for the awakening of your chosen people who have been oppressed for so long that we’ve forgotten that you chose us – that they will no longer be deceived about what is really happening in the spiritual and natural realms (psychological warfare). We pray that restoration for your people is coming now. We pray that everything we do will be in Your perfect will and not enacted out of frustration, bitterness, and hatred. Bless us indeed and enlarge our territory so that we can advance Your kingdom, Jehovah. I declare and decree that today we are free. No more chains are holding us. We are no longer oppressed. We are no longer cursed. We are free.
It is in the matchless name of Yeshua that we pray.

“Is He a Counterfeit or the Real Deal?” by Dr. Jené Walker

The details aren’t our problem. Our sovereign, almighty, all powerful Jehovah will work out all the details. We don’t have time for that. We are supposed to be seeking Jehovah for our kingdom dominion and assignment. Jehovah will orchestrate the meeting with our husbands, the revelation to our husbands that we’re the ones, his preparation, and the geographical location. Don’t worry your pretty little heads about that. Seek Him first and His righteousness. While you wait on Jehovah, let Him prepare your heart and mind for ministry and marriage. Let Him get all the bitterness OUT because it kills marriages. Let Him get all the hurt OUT that destroys trust. Let Him get all the compromise OUT because that shakes fidelity at the core. Let Him get all the deception OUT that causes you to think the counterfeit is real which causes the heart to stray. Let Him get all the disobedience OUT that causes us not to submit to our own husbands in everything. We have work to do while we WAIT. Nonetheless, WAIT. Jené Walker
