“Whatever They Do Prospers”

“Whatever they do prospers.” That got everyone’s attention didn’t it? You want to know “who is they” who prospers in “whatever they do.” Because that’s a blessing isn’t it to know that as a wife, mother, employee or employer, or a minister you can prosper. To know that when you teach, preach, speak, sing, walk, move, develop, create, propose, and breathe you can prosper. How? I’m glad you asked.

Those of us who love God’s word, are delighted to live it and obey it, who read, study, and meditate on it when we wake, before we sleep, and during our sleep we are trees planted in rich fertile nurturing ground. We are steadfast and immovable always fruitful in the work of the Lord.

To meditate on the word is deeper than reading it and studying it. To meditate is to think deeply about the word. Before we make irrational and emotional decisions, because we have thought deeply about the word, we don’t move but we are able to be still. Before we react in pride when someone criticizes our work, we humble ourselves in the presence of God and know that He will elevate us in due season. Before we become anxious about our financial status and worry about whether or not we will be able to eat and feed our children, we seek God first and His righteousness and believe that all our needs God will supply. We are not anxious about anything because we have made our requests to God in exchange for God’s peace.

Because God’s Word gives us joy, we obey His Word and want to please God. Because we meditate on the Word of God both day and night we are healthy, productive, and fruitful. Our leaves don’t even wither we because we are rooted and grounded in the Word and connected to God. Whatever we do, prospers. Get rooted. Stay rooted. Dr.J.

Psalm 1:2-3 NIV “but whose delight is in the law of the Lord , and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.”

Fear is Not a Factor by Dr.J.

I have been through some of the most fearful times of my life. I can’t tell it all (maybe in my 3rd or 4th book). But there were times when I was afraid I would lose my mind. There were times when I thought I would lose my job. There were times I was afraid of people plotting to destroy me. There were times when I was afraid I would never be loved like God wants me to be loved. There were times when I was afraid I wasn’t pretty enough, smart enough, pure enough, and perfect enough – until the Holy Spirit penetrated my heart and gave me a confidence in God that even fear can’t penetrate.

God is present with us and here for us. He doesn’t want us to be afraid. He will strengthen us when we’re weak and help us when we don’t have anyone else. I’m a living witness. But what really gives me a sense of joy and peace is knowing that God will uphold us in His righteous right hand. My God.

When we allow Satan to hold us hostage by our fears, God can’t release what He wants to release in our lives because we’re too afraid to trust God. Your mind, job, finances, livelihood, life, true love, and worth are all under the control of God. When you grasp that in your spirit, you can let go of fear. You can’t hold on to both. Dr.J.

Isaiah:41:10 NIV “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Wives, Don’t Be Scared by Dr.Jené Walker

Wives fear will cause you to go into “self-preservation mode.” Fear will stifle you from giving your whole heart. Fear will cause you to withhold and withdraw. Fear will cause you to consider the thoughts that the enemy plants in your mind about what “he” is or is not doing. Fear makes you entertain foolishness about “him” from so called friends. Fear makes you devise a “backup” plan. Fear makes you “run” to protect yourself as if God needs help in that area. Fear makes you keep a secret account and…a secret lover.

Fear says, “Do not submit to ‘him.’ Do not honor ‘him.’ Cut ‘him’ down.” Fear causes you not to give him compliments because he may get complacent. Fear makes you compensate by developing an air of superiority- “I make more. I’m more educated. My title is more. My background is more. I’m more organized.”

Fear makes you check phones and phone records. Fear makes you follow and spy. Fear makes you paranoid that he may leave so you sabotage so you can say, “I ended this.”

Fear is a subtle slick sickening evil spirit that we have given too much power in our marriages but not anymore. Wives, we cast out the spirit of fear right now in the name of Jesus. We love our husbands with everything in us. God is in control, not our emotions. Jené Elaine Walker

Power, Love, and a Sound Mind by Dr.J.

The spirits that are contradictory to the spirit of fear are power, love and a sound mind. If we have a spirit of fear it does the following:
1) weakens us (no power),
2) causes us to act in hate (no love because perfect love drives out fear), and
3) causes us to act a little “cray cray” (mind is unsound and undisciplined)

When we have the spirit of fear on us, it weakens us because we can’t have faith at the same time that we’re operating in fear. Without faith, it’s impossible to please God so we are in a powerless state when we act in the spirit of fear.

How can we love and fear at the same time? I can’t love if I’m afraid you will hurt me, use me, take advantage of me, steal from me, get over on me, or betray me. I can’t love others if I’m in a perpetual state of paranoia. “I don’t know you. Why do you want to be my friend? You must want something from me.” You’re missing out on loving, blessing and being blessed because you’re in a selfish hateful state of fear.

When we’re afraid, we do some crazy stuff. Tell the truth. You’ve gotten in your car at 3am to drive (we won’t say how far) because you were afraid he had someone over. You have broken into her window because you were afraid she had someone else in there. You have temporarily lost your mind because of fear. You’ve lost self-control and self-discipline because of fear.

God calls us to operate in power, love and a sound mind, not fear. You have the power to cast the spirit of fear out in the name of Jesus. How long will you halt and limp between fear and faith? End it today. Dr.J.‪#‎donotbescared‬ ‪#‎fearisnotafactor‬ ‪#‎fearless‬

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Has Your Due Season Been Delayed?

God has been dealing with me spiritually in three areas for the last three weeks:

1) disobedience
2) His will
3) humility

Believers there is no way that three weeks straight God has pressed into me so hard about these three areas just because. This season is approaching an end. Some of us have asked, “Where is the manifestation?” These three areas have held up release for someone:

1) Disobedience is vast but sometimes subtle. God even showed me how we can have thoughts that have become fortresses in our minds. If God is our fortress and strong tower, our imaginations and thoughts that are higher than God have replaced God in our minds. Cast those thoughts down. Having high thoughts is disobedience.

2) His will is the only will in the life of a believer. He wants us to a point at which we have thrown out “my will” completely. We are digging our heels in trying to make situations work and happen for ourselves. He wants us so sold out that we believe, “God, even if you don’t do anything else (prosper, reconcile the relationship, promote, heal my body), I just want your will.” He wants to move forward but you’re holding up progress with “my will” instead of “thy will.”

3) Humility is crucial. Pride can cause you to fall before God can solidify your elevation. Let Him purge you. Let Him get all the pride out before you mess it all up. He says humble yourself before Him and He will elevate you in due season. Have you humbled yourself yet? I heard myself describing how I document my work for my evaluation the other day and God said as plainly as daylight, “Tone that down.” Too much “I, I, I” caused Lucifer to be thrown out of heaven. Be careful of pride. It is sneaky and subtle.

You’ve asked God why hasn’t “it” happened yet…Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you why your due season has been delayed. Is it disobedience, not surrendering to His will, or pride? Dr. J.

Stop Losing a Battle You Were Created to Win: Spiritual Weapons for Spiritual Warfare- The Belt of Truth by Dr.J.

God instructs us to abide by His Word so that we will know the truth and the truth shall make us free. Free from what? Free from the bondage of sin and the evil one. The Word of God is truth. The opposite of truth is lies and deception. To engage the enemy during spiritual warfare and his attacks of lies and deception, we must put on spiritual armor, the belt of God’s truth.

Believers In order to be free, we have to read and study the Word of God daily, period. We must have spiritual wisdom to get free and stay free. We can’t fight the kinds of spiritual battles with which we’re faced today without knowing the “truth.” Satan can and will continue to manipulate, deceive, and shock believers with His attacks if we can’t combat him with God’s truth.

A belt supports and holds up. It encircles our entire waist which is the center of our bodies. It encompasses us. It encloses our center. beltIf during a spiritual attack of lies and deception, we are wearing the belt of God’s truth, we are free from the impact of Satan’s lies which has the tendency to cause us to fall down in our faith. But the armor of God’s truth surrounds us and holds us up against the enemy’s lies. We can defeat the lies and deception of the enemy.

A belt in the Roman military around 3 B.C., acted as a symbol. The belt signified that the person wearing the belt was indeed a soldier in the army. As believers, when we wear the belt of truth, the enemy and his principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places should flee when they see us coming. Why? Because wearing God’s truth signifies that we are soldiers in God’s army. Satan does not want to mess with a believer who knows God’s truth.

The belt for believers signifies that we are subject to God which means we obey God’s principles and we know how to resist the lies and deception of the enemy. If the attack doesn’t line up with the Word of God, then it can’t knock us down. We are supported and “held up” by God’s truth. Lies and deception about our health, our marriages, our children, our jobs, our finances, our spiritual wisdom, and our pasts cannot knock us down or catch us off guard. We only receive the truth. Nothing else can penetrate our circle.

Fight back. Keep your belt pulled tightly around your waist. In battle, the tightened belt gave the appearance of a larger chest and upper body. The chest appeared to be “stuck out” or enhanced. Believers, you can stick out your chests because you are protected by the armor of the belt of God’s truth. But stay sober, your enemy the devil prowls around like a lion, seeking whom he can devour (1 Peter 5:8). Dr.J.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;  praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints” (Ephesians 6:14-18 NLT, emphasis mine).

Titus 2:7-8 "In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us."
