I prayed and ask God just the other day, “God, if there is some land of which I’m supposed to go in and take possession of it, reveal it to me and make it plain. I don’t want to be the reason for my delay.” Often times God has given us a promise and we actually have to “go in and take possession of” the promise. Dreams and visions have been delayed because we don’t “go in and take possession of” them.
You have this longing and even compelling feeling that you just can’t shake because God is urging you to move on His promises. There is land, ministry, spiritual wisdom, promotion, business, or some promise that God has given you. What are you waiting for? When God says go, go! Dr.J.
Deuteronomy 1:8 NIV”See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land the Lord swore he would give to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—and to their descendants after them.”
Lord knows that I’m not in chains confined to one location like Paul, but I feel like Paul, in that I’m a prisoner for serving the Lord. I too am begging my fellow believers. It’s time believers. God called us. He selected us. We are His elect. He chose us just because He wanted to. But are we leading lives worthy of His calling and election?
Imagine that when you walk around today that there is a halo over your head. In neon letters above your halo are the words “God’s Elect.” Because you were predestined, there is a calling to which you were predestined too. But God hasn’t been able to use you in your fullest capacity because you aren’t leading a life worthy of your calling.
There is nothing you’re doing and focusing on that’s more important than your calling. There is no fleshly desire that you have such as sex, pornography, adultery, fornication, money, or fame that takes precedence over the life to which God called you to live. There is no human or demon that should be able to keep you from living the life to which God called you. Start today. Live a life worthy of the two words in neon lights above your head. You are God’s elect. When people see you do they see Him? Dr.J.
Ephesians 4:1 NLT “Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.”
