“Are You Here To Edify or To ‘Spy?'” by Dr. Jené Walker

Are you here to edify or to “spy?” The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy. We must check our motives and what “we” come to do.

Some aspects of military intelligence operations involve “collection and analysis of imagery, investigations, and engaging in electronic warfare…” Satan has intelligence agents in his kingdom too; some are aware of whose army they’re in and some have no idea they are working for his kingdom. But in either case, his agents operate in the same manner as military intelligence. They are “spying” and monitoring and analyzing you and your walk so closely that their own walk is maimed and they don’t even know it. They aid the enemy in killing, stealing, and destroying the body because they operate out of intelligence and feigned wisdom and not the Spirit of God (i.e., love, gentleness, self-control, etc.). No one knows you and your heart and your journey with Yeshua like the all knowing sovereign King, Jehovah. Any other assessment of you is simply “collection and analysis” based on opinion and on what can be seen with the naked eye (flesh). If the “collection and analysis” comes from the Spirit of God, the Spirit of God will test it and prove it.

Believers, we have to regularly check our hearts, our motives, our words, our pride, and our opinions. We have to make a spiritual effort to make sure we’re not aligned with Satan’s mission which is to kill, steal, and destroy the body. We have to keep our mouths off God’s people. If our words and actions are not “truth” based on the Word of God and His Spirit then it’s just “our truth,” which is well…a natural lie. If we’re just keeping it “real” and it came from a suspicious or jealous or critical heart, then it’s just “real” ugly. If our assessment of another is based on analysis and philosophies and worldly knowledge and our own limited experiences, then all of that is foolishness to God. If our assessment is not building up the body, then it’s tearing the body down. Is THAT what you’re here for? We have to let Holy Spirit “fix” us and our hearts so the body can be healed and edified. Jené Elaine Walker

“Hills and Valleys: How Will You Respond?” Dr. Jené Walker

YouTube Video (Click Here): Song, “Hills and Valleys” by Tauren Wells

My God! Listen believers, we will have hills and valleys until our Savior Yeshua comes back and fights with us and for us to defeat Satan and send him to the pits of hell forever. But, how do we respond to the valleys? Are we pouting? Are we angry with God? Are we rebelling? Are we refusing to serve Him because we think our valleys are lower than the entire body of believers who is suffering all over the world just like we are?

I challenge you (and me) to respond to the valleys in the same way we respond to the hills. We give God glory when He increases, promotes, blesses us with favor, and rewards us. Our valleys are real; I can’t deny it. Our valleys are job loss, home loss, money loss, friend loss, diseases gained, cheating spouses gained, hurt gained, and loneliness gained. I couldn’t and wouldn’t dare downplay the valleys. But the valleys are inevitable. The devil wants to take us out but the valleys or attacks don’t have to affect us the way we’ve allowed them to. They don’t have to take us out. They don’t have to kill us. We have power over the valleys. We can speak to them. We can make them move. We can overcome them. God is sovereign. Do you think that He doesn’t see you? He does see you and He is with you in every one of your valley moments. Remember, sin and evil came by Satan’s temptation of Adam and Eve. Sin didn’t come from God. God’s Word has to stand. We have to stop blaming God and start trusting Him in the valleys too. He has us. Please believe it. He loves us and cares for us in the ups and the downs. Jené Elaine Walker

“You’re Untouchable on the Highway” by Dr. Jené Walker

When we stay on the path of righteousness, the Highway, we are in a secret untouchable place hidden from our enemy the devil and protected in the Spirit from the attacks made by people under the influence of Satan! Those who are evil and unclean can’t even come near you on the Highway. But the thing about being on the Highway is that we must be holy because God is holy. Holiness doesn’t mean we’re perfect and flawless but our hearts are pure and unwilling to compromise for the world. We may be fools when it comes to worldly wisdom but when it comes to directions from the Word of God and instructions from Holy Spirit, we have wisdom and discernment. I’m living, walking, breathing, and operating on the Highway in this season and from now on. I can’t afford not to; can you?

“Your Come Up is My Come Up…Maybe” by Dr. Jené Walker

Daniel 2:48-49 “Then the king appointed Daniel to a high position and gave him many valuable gifts. He made Daniel ruler over the whole province of Babylon, as well as chief over all his wise men. At Daniel’s request, the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be in charge of all the affairs of the province of Babylon, while Daniel remained in the king’s court.”

When Daniel got elevated, he requested that his friends be promoted too to advance the kingdom of God. Daniel used his “come up” for his people to “come up.” But what we must understand is that “his people” were praying people. They interceded for Daniel before he went in to see the king and their prayers reached heaven. They didn’t try to ask Daniel why is it that “he” gets to go in and see the king and not them. They understood their role in the sphere of influence and Daniel’s role in the sphere of influence. They didn’t cover Daniel’s spot. They didn’t try to beat Daniel in seeing the king. They didn’t try to interpret visions and dreams like Daniel because they knew that wasn’t their gift. So, Daniel knew that when he brought them up, the kingdom wouldn’t be compromised. We have to be careful who we try to bring with us on our kingdom assignments. Watch how your people respond in captivity and in bondage before you take them in the realm of the king with you. Listen and see who God wants you to bring because the kingdom must be blessed though your graduation, elevation, and promotion.

“I Dare You to Stop” by Dr. Jené Walker

Don’t go to their page not one more time. Don’t ride through their neighborhood. Don’t inquire about them. Pray for them and the spirit in them but focus on God and increase. The enemy knows just how to keep us distracted with foolishness. It doesn’t matter how badly they treated you, if they abandoned you, stopped talking to you, gossip about you, doubt you, took something from you, messed with your spouse or significant other…leave those people who are being used by the enemy alone. God has shown you the spirit in them so pray that spirit out of the person but don’t you let the spirit get on YOU! Leave them alone. In your heart and in your actions, let those people go. God won’t let anyone do anything to you that He isn’t aware of and sovereign over! Persecution is supposed to advance the kingdom but we won’t let the kingdom be great! 😒 Because we’re doing the most trying to get them back and keep up with them and copy them and compete with them. You’ve just been set free. Pray every time you’re tempted to act just like the spirit in them. Pray and stay away. Increase. We don’t have time for it. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. I love you. Now go be great.

“Stop Spending” by Dr. Jené Walker

“Stop Spending”

Each believer gets to a “sick-and-tired” point in his life at different times. But t’is the season for all to be sick and tired of wasting money. “Stop Spending!” Holy Spirit said those two words to me so loudly that it scared me. Have you heard this same message from Holy Spirit or have you too suppressed His voice speaking about your spending habits? This season seek God first about your money, your budget, and the organization of your finances until seeking Him becomes the standard in your life. He will direct our spending and give us a blue print for our finances if we allow Him. We just have to die to our flesh every time the urge to splurge comes.

1) What helps me to control my spending now is knowing what my goals are. What are your goals that are aligned with God’s will for your life? Do you want to buy a house? Start a savings? Start a business? Increase your retirement? What has God called you to do? When you write the vision that God has given you in this season and begin to work toward it, you won’t be able to spend frivolously.

2) Knowing that bad stewardship is a sin has also helped me to make up my mind about improving my finances. I would wonder why I was struggling in certain areas and God showed me how this area was continuing to be an area of disobedience for me.

3) Having a budget helps tremendously. I just started using a Microsoft Excel Budget Template to help me organize my funds. I place how much I allot for each month, including my bills at the top of the spreadsheet in a cell. I add every bill and other expenses in a left column and deduct the amount for each expense in another column. The spreadsheet subtracts from the total monthly allocation. The remaining monthly allowance is then divided up in the following categories: For example, Gas – $30 a week for gas ($120 each month); Groceries – $100 a week for groceries ($400 each month); Hair/Hair Cut – $25 a week for hair ($100 each month); Tithes – $50 for tithes ($200 each month); and Savings – $100 ($100 each month) for savings. Put each of those amounts in an envelope and do not exceed the amounts in the envelopes. Fast from shopping outside of this budget for three months – no shopping for three months. At the end of three months, you should have $300 saved. Take $100 and shop but leave remaining $200 in savings. Continue this process.

4) Knowing I want to be blessed with increase this season helps me to improve in my finances. Holy Spirit said, “How will you manage a corporation’s budget if you can’t manage your own household budget?” There are levels to this. Take care of your business. List all your debt. Pay off lowest debt. Organize your bills. Make a budget. If we want increase, we have to be faithful over a few things.

Changing our mindset about money is a process. I’m walking it out even now as I type. I don’t want to sin on purpose and that is exactly what emotional spending is – sin. We look at our lives and wonder “why” is this not going right? We’re sinning in our finances. I’m tired of the cycle. I can’t live like that anymore. I want more for me and more for my son and more for the kingdom so I’m done. Are you? Only God can satisfy the void that we try to fill with shoes, clothes, hairdos, makeup, nails and jewelry. Self-control must be exercised in this season. Take one day at a time. But God says I will not increase you if you don’t manage your money better. I’m done with spending frivolously in Yeshua’s name.

Prayer: God someone is in debt so deep that we’re suffocating. There is no earthly way out. We need supernatural relief. We repent. Help us now Jehovah!

“From Borrower to Lender through Divine Connections” by Dr. Jené Walker

Although I have the best parents in the world, they didn’t explicitly teach me about the significance of purchasing a home. They “told” me to buy one and that it was a goal but they didn’t give me instructions. I was living in pretty expensive apartments on a starting teacher’s salary. I got joy out of moving from fancy apartment to fancy apartment because I was uninformed and “appearance” was important to me.

God sent my girlfriend Betsy to plant a seed and water it.  She said, “Why don’t you buy a condo? I’m going to buy one and we can be neighbors.” I didn’t think I could afford a condo or a down payment. She said, “What are you paying in rent?” When I told her, she gasped. She walked me through the homeowner process. God sent more angels to help me through an “easy process” of purchasing my first home. This was a turning point in my life. My mortgage for my condo was $250.00 less than my rent for my apartment with the same exact utility bills and fees.

The enemy told me all kinds of lies to keep me as a borrower and not a lender. “You should wait until you’re married again to buy.” “You don’t even know if you will live here forever and you can’t get out of that condo.” The devil is a liar. God got me in the condo. Eight years later when I sold my condo, the angel who is my realtor sold it for close to $30k more than I paid for it…  The math? Increase. Don’t believe the lies of the enemy. It isn’t too late for us (no matter how old we are). With God, all things are possible.

And parents, we can’t assume that our children understand “life” just because they see us living it. We have to strategically “teach” them about the financial principles in the Word of God in this season. A shift must take place. I thank God for the Betsy’s in the world who are obedient to God and who help propel us to the next level. I’m praying my breaker anointing all over this blog. Mindsets are shifting right now in Jesus’s name. We are lenders and not borrowers. Our wealth will be used to bless and prosper the kingdom. Everything we do is about the kingdom. Jené Elaine Walker
