Sometimes we get indignant with God because He hasn’t made things happen for us the way we want them. You’ve done it, tell the truth? We get mad when God doesn’t make the man or woman we wanted, to stay and do right. When our spouse (that God said “no” about and we married any way) goes astray and doesn’t come back, we get mad with God. When we haven’t seen the promotion or increase after “all I’ve done,” we get mad with God. When we get demoted, transferred, or let go, that’s all God’s fault too.
How can we rest in the will of God? How can we be at peace, even if God doesn’t cause the situation that has happened, that He must have allowed it for a purpose? How can we renounce the feeling of anxiety and discontentment and focus on God. The Holy Spirit had to transform me and my attitude so that I finally became content in God’s will. It’s a process but don’t delay the process by fighting against God’s will. He knows what’s best for you. Stop getting mad with Him. If you’re in a season that God placed you in, learn to be content. There is nothing like the peace of God when you trust God right where you are right now. You know God is sovereign. If He wanted you somewhere else, that’s where you would be.
Lord, I just want to go with the flow of Your Spirit. Even though You’ve placed a desire in me for something “more” for the kingdom, I know when I’m ready and You’re ready, You will birth it.
The enemy uses our own emotions and other people to cause us to doubt, to become anxious, and even to be impatient and angry with God. We renounce those spirits right now in Jesus’s name. We are content in the season in which You’ve placed us, Lord. When You’re ready to move us, we’re ready for the next level. Dr.J.
IT’S WAITING SEASON: WE JUST HAVE TO WAIT! Our wait is for a reason! He obviously has more He needs to do in us before He propels us to that next level in love, finances, careers, ministry, healing, and health! Sometimes we want to pout and get upset because it’s taking God too long! We are delaying our own process. We can be certain that God will complete what He started in us. So we can allow the Holy Spirit to WORK or we can wander in the wilderness in rebellion, murmuring, and complaining! I mean, we have to wait any way right?
So what do we do during our waiting season? Study (His Word daily), Pray, Fast, Tithe, Give, Serve, Love, Obey, Follow (the promptings of the Holy Spirit)! I’m content while I wait, how about you? Dr.J.
Contentment is achieved when you agree with God about where He has you right now. God may be working in the spiritual realm on transitioning you out of a season, a job, a relationship, or a location but you are content where you are right now because you’re in agreement with God.
Contentment comes when you totally trust God with your circumstances. As naturally unpleasant as they may seem, you’re content in your current circumstances.
Contentment requires faith. I can’t be ok with where God has me if I don’t believe that God is sovereign; that God knows what’s best for me; and, that God knows what He’s doing concerning me. If you have contentment issues, check your faith. God is in control. He has your situation under His control too. Dr.J.
