“Do You Love My Child Like He’s Yours?” by Dr.J.

When you’re single with a child, ask yourself this question about the man or woman you’re with, “Do you love my child like he’s yours or do you only love my child because he’s mine?” The Holy Spirit showed me a difference. It takes time to develop the former but eventually you need both. God will give you a person who will love you and your child unconditionally. Wait on that kind of love. Dr.J.

“In the Right Season” by Dr.J.

A Japanese Maple, variety Bloodgood, is a rare beauty amongst trees. In the right season, its buds blossom into rich, fruitful, productive leaves. Each right season, you can see the tree’s growth. It is broader; its limbs are more extended. But only in the right season

In our right season, after we’ve allowed God to prune dead habits, barren thoughts, unhealthy words, unfruitful relationships; after leaves of worry, lack of faith, and sin have fallen; then, and only then do we bear the leaves and the fruit we were created to bear.

God I thank You for my pruning season! I am ready for my right season, to prosper in every area of my life and to bear fruit. Dr.J.

John‬ ‭15:1-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”

“Make Heaven Come to Earth” by Dr.J.

I read a devotion the other day that said, “Your role is to make heaven come to earth.” When I really got revelation about the statement in the context of the entire devotion, I thought, ‘The the power of the Holy Spirit in me, the love of Jesus in me, and the image of God in me should make heaven real to those who encounter me.’ Jesus. I immediately started praying, “Lord fix me!” But the Holy Spirit reassured me that though I won’t ever be perfect until I’m completely transformed when Christ returns, lives will be changed through the power of the Holy Spirit in me.

Do you take your role seriously? Yes. It’s your role too. Do you know that the enemy is on the warpath to win souls for hell? Are you fighting harder to help bring others to repentance and acceptance of Christ? Or is your focus on you and your desires for stuff in this world like chasing paper and degrees and a man or woman or fame to impress people on this side? How much longer do we even have here?

Our walk is serious and intentional. Our walk is about the kingdom. No, you’re not perfect either but God’s plan to use us in this role is perfect. Dr.J.

“God Protects Kingdom Marriages” by Dr.J.

God protects kingdom marriages. You don’t have to worry. You don’t have to try to force something to happen. You don’t have to harass the other man or other woman. All you have to do is pray and ask God to handle it. God can appear in one dream one time and a wayward spouse will return to leave no more.

Meanwhile, what are you doing? Are you building your relationship with God or have you made your spouse or marriage an idol? Set your mind on things about. God will send the marriage changing dream (but a hardened heart still won’t change so pray for your spouse). Pray. Let the Holy Spirit work on you. Change your focus to Jesus Christ. Dr.J.

Genesis‬ ‭20:1-3‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “Now Abraham moved on from there into the region of the Negev and lived between Kadesh and Shur. For a while he stayed in Gerar, and there Abraham said of his wife Sarah, ‘She is my sister.’ Then Abimelek king of Gerar sent for Sarah and took her. But God came to Abimelek in a dream one night and said to him, ‘You are as good as dead because of the woman you have taken; she is a married woman.'”

“You’ve Reached a Natural Plateau” Dr.J.

You get to a point at which you’ve plateaued out in the natural. You’ve taken yourself as high as you can go. Your degrees can’t get you any more promotions. Your résumé is bland. Your knowledge pales in comparison to the knowledge of some. The prestige of your alma mater isn’t as prestigious as you’ve financed or are still financing. You’ve plateaued.

Now what? Stop seeking worldly recognition and status. It’s temporary and well…worldly. God can supernaturally promote you higher and more quickly than any “world system” for His kingdom and purpose. Any other self or man made elevation is just temporary and you will plateau.

Stagnant? Plateaued? Check your motives. Check your heart. Check your desires. Check your standard. Check your goal. Check your relationship with the Father. Dr.J.

“Attention: Men Who Have Ever Been Trapped” by Dr.J.

How many of you have ever been with a woman or numerous women that made you cringe when you reflected on it after you were convicted by the Holy Spirit? When you repent and turn from this kind of wickedness and don’t want to look back, it makes you physically and mentally sick sometimes to think about how you behaved in sin.

Ecclesiastes 7:26 NIV I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.

The king in this case (Ecclesiastes 7:26) says that being with a woman like the ones he was with is more bitter than death. What made the experience so deadly? He describes the woman as a snare – a trap with a noose for hanging. The experience with her held him captive in sin. Her charm, seduction, and sex was imprisoning (marine, Jezebel spirit). He lost control and couldn’t escape her because of the evil motives in her heart and her chain like hands. The sin and deception is so powerful in this woman that only a man who has the power of God can escape her.

Men, if you are susceptible to this kind of spirit, you have open doors that only God and the filling of the Holy Spirit can shut. Run from this spirit. Seek after God. Be subject to God. Stay on your face before Him. Fast and pray. But do not stay…Dr.J.

“Beware, the Evil One’s Schemes” by Dr.J.

Don’t underestimate the mode of operation of Satan. The enemy does plant seeds of doubt through speaking to you in your thoughts. The devil does tempt you. The dragon does show you images in your head to deceive you. The evil one does mislead you. Satan does cause you to go astray. Lucifer does speak to you and tell you lies.
Now, do we have power over the enemy? Yes we do. Do we have a choice as to whether or not to believe Satan’s lies? Absolutely. But one of the most powerful weapons for us in our struggle against principalities is to know how the enemy operates. Yes, we have already defeated the devil but not through underestimating his craftiness. The enemy has been exposed. Go forth and win your battles today. Dr.J.

Genesis 3:1 “Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, ‘Did God really say, “You must not eat from any tree in the garden”?”

John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Luke 4:1-3 “Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. The devil said to him, ‘If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.'”

Luke 4:5 “The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.”

Luke 4:9 “The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. ‘If you are the Son of God,’ he said, ‘throw yourself down from here.'”

Revelation 12:9 “And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”

Matthew 24:24 “For false Christs and false prophets will appear and they will provide great signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect (God’s chosen ones).”
