“Faith During the Attacks” by Dr.J. 2016 Fast Post 22

In the midst of the attack on your marriage, finances, child, body, mind, job, or home, do you have faith right then? At the onset of the attack, do you muster up your faith and fight?  Can you imagine yourself reaching for the Word to use as your sword of the Spirit when you don’t even believe what you’ll read?  How can God manifest the vision He’s given us during this fast, if we don’t believe?

The enemy has attacked you almost every day since we started this fast. You’ve even begun to have casual conversations, watch all kinds of worldly shows, and say all kinds of worldly things because the enemy has extinguished the fire from week one of the fast. Attack. Attack. Attack. Get your fire back right now in Jesus’s name.

Someone looked at the journal during this week and began to question whether or not your vision is too big. You doubted whether God could heal an infirmity such as yours because it was passed down from your mother or transmitted sexually. Someone began to question whether God could really deliver you from the adulterous affair you’ve been in for seven years or the addictions to pornography and masturbation. You even wonder if God can give you the desire to want to do right. Right now, in the name of Jesus, help our unbelief!

Mark 9:21-26 (NIV) Jesus asked the boy’s father, ‘How long has he been like this?’ ‘From childhood,’ he answered. It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.’ If you can?’ said Jesus. ‘Everything is possible for one who believes.’ Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, ‘I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!’ When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. ‘You deaf and mute spirit,’ he said, ‘I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.’

Jesus said, “IF He can?” What do you mean “IF He can?” Jesus said that with Him, everything that you’ve fasted for is possible if you believe. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve dealt with the demon. It doesn’t matter what kind of demon it is. Believe. As we fast this week for the Holy Spirit to develop the fruit of faith in us, ask God to help your unbelief. He will. Continue to ask God for self-control. He will give it to you.

We can’t forget what we’re fasting for. We can’t allow the attacks of the enemy to cause us to operate in the flesh. We can’t allow the devil to shake us in our faith. Keep fasting. Keep believing. Regroup. Reload. and let’s go. Dr.J.
