Our fast begins at 6:00 this evening! God bless you as you begin your fast. We have hundreds of people in our circle fasting with us.  If you have not had the opportunity to read up on the fasting blogs, please do so. Do not eat anything this evening after 6:00 P.M. and begin praying at 6:00 P.M. your time. Refer to your journal which has your vision and prayer list already written out. Ask God now to transform your hearts and purge you have the sins with which you’ve struggled. Please check back daily for posts about our fast.

This week’s focus is James Chapter 4, Daniel Chapter 1, and Daniel Chapter 10. Respond to your reading, your journal writing topics, and the events throughout your fast each day in your journal. Remember, the fruit of the spirit that we’re in prayer about and believing that the Holy Spirit will develop in us is “self-control.” Reading James 4 and about the life of Daniel will open up our hearts and minds understanding self-control. Say your memory verses (Ephesians 6:10-12 KJV and 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 KJV) aloud each day until you have them memorized. We will add memory verses each week.

Do not compromise your morning and evening prayer, devotion (which includes reading your prescribed scriptures), and worship. This is an important part of your fast.

I’m praying for each of you! God is going to AMAZE us throughout this fast. We’re going to reap a hundred fold harvest AND the blessing (see Genesis Chapter 26). Go into to this fast with great expectations and a pure heart. God bless you again! Dr.J.
